FILM DISTRIBUTOR
RESOURCE LIST

Please take care to respect industry protocol and make sure not to disturb or harass any distributors listed below.

This list compiles many of the most current releases from independent distributors, to be used as a resource for festival films seeking distribution. See below for a guide on how to reach out to distributors with unsolicited requests.

When a distributor lists a public email or telephone number: it is acceptable to reach out and ask one time only if the company is “currently accepting unsolicited projects.”

If a company is not accepting projects, or they simply do not reply to your inquiry: do not attempt any further contact at that point. As doing so could harm the reputation of your film or yourself.

Once a distributor confirms the acceptance of outside solicitations: a letter announcing a screening event or email containing a review screener might be an acceptable follow-up reply, but any other initiated contact beyond that could be detrimental to your project, and may also lead to the public removal of this list.

While it is common for our festival films to get distribution, our organization does not vouch for the actions, ethics, or trustworthiness of any outside company, nor any filmmaker. As such, it is recommended that you do your own due diligence to form your own conclusions about which companies fit best for your project.

Note that the festival also is not a business representative for filmmakers. Please do not use the festival name or names of anyone associated with the fest as a referral or reference.

Our mission is to discover the best new filmmakers, promote and screen those projects at the best possible venues, in the greatest city in the world, with staff that happily sing the praises of films we believe in, including to distributors that reach out to us.

This is simply a list that was compiled for convenience’s sake and if used wisely, can hopefully be of help to new filmmakers.
